Queen of Disco

A native of Newark, New Jersey, Gloria erupted onto the music scene back in 1973 when her smash hit "Never Can Say Goodbye" topped the dance chart at No.1.  From 1973 until 1981, Gaynor had a new album on the top 40 charts each and every year.

Dubbed the Queen of Disco, in 1979, she released "I Will Survire," a song that VH1 has selected as the No. 1 dance song of the 20th century.  Since Gloria's original release of "I Will Survive," it's been re-recorded by 213 other artists in over 30 different languages.  Currently, Gloria's latest album "I Wish You Love" is riding up the charts all over the world proving that after 30 years in the music business, it appears that everything that Gaynor touches turns to gold.
