Cavett talks about his early days in television as a comedy writer for Jack Paar, Johnny Carson and Jerry Lewis; his ability to write hilarious jokes for others was key in getting his own show in 1968.

 

Cavett discusses his illustrious life and delves into the special bond he developed with fellow Nebraskan Johnny Carson as well as some of his most interesting guests and interviews on

On Tuesday, June 20th at legendary Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson's "Sugar Bar", the 100th episode of "NYC TV PROFILES" will be celebrated with a memorable party.

 

  • Noted journalist Bill McCreary and other celebrities will be in attendance.

  • At 7:30PM a live broadcast of Mickey Burns extensive interview with Dick Cavett will premier live on three big screen TV's.

  • After presentations and acknowledgements, singing star Carl Thomas will celebrate the music of Darin, Sinatra, Martin and Anka.

  • Hors doeuvres and light dinner will be served with a cash bar.
